IE updates

Does any body know what the Last security update was that
was compatible with Win 95 and IE 5.5 SP/2?
Some articles are contradictory. Not sure if MS article
that states "Systems running IE 5.5 SP/2" means that it
will run in 95 when the KB article states only as far back
as 98 SE. Now, did I confuse ya'll? Thanks Frank

Don't bother. Windows Update no longer supports 95, as MS doesn't
support it any more.

Many newer security updates are either not applicable to
Win95 or they refuse to install (they will install on Win98,
WinME but Microsoft recently decided no more freebies for
Win95 users). I just installed two of the latest ones:
October 2003 Cumulative Update for IE 5.5SP2, and April 2003
Cumulative Update for Outlook Express. Runs fine, no
problems. I have Win95 OSR2.

Security Bulletins MS03-40 (IE), MS03-14 (OE)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.asp

If you have some time to kill, browse through the bulletins,
see if any are applicable to Win95/98, and then install them
one at a time *with* an uninstaller program running &
logging the installation.
