Hey when i try to change my desktop stuff or i try to go
to the install/unintall program i get a message
saying "Windows cannot access the specified device, path,
or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to
access the item." and it just randomly happened not sure
why all of a sudden i cant use my own computer.. any tips
on why you woudlk think this woudl happen?

Extract a new copy of RUNDLL32.EXE and CONTROL.EXE from either your Windows 98 CD or from the CAB files on your hard drive, whichever you have, to the Windows folder, using the "Extract one file" option of System File Checker (SFC).
