- Risk for Win 95
- Posted by Craig Cusick on June 26th, 2005
I want to setup my Risk for Win95 game on a 2000 and XP computer and the
installation program gives me a pop up box informing me that I need to be
running Win95. I downloaded a tool that Microsoft told me about (can't
remember the name) but couldn't get that to work either.
Any help? I have a lot of older games that my kids would like to play and I
want to know how to run them.
Thanks for the help in advance.

You could try DosBox. I've never tried using it, but have heard of people
through these newsgroups who've used it to get older games to play on Windows
XP computers. Like I wrote, I've never tried it so don't know if it's a major
pain to get it set up. Download it here:

I did the same thing, and I just adjusted the PIF file properties to emulate
Win95.
