I have win 95 and I installed Diskeeper and McAfee
Anti virus 6.0 professional . Now when I start up
windows just hangs. I go into confirmation mode and get to
diskeeper and have to press "n" as well as McAfee "n"
to get windows to boot. the system starts scanning if I
press "y".

how can I return to booting normally . do I need to remove
these ? and how do I do this.what do I do ????
thank you for your help.
sincerely

Is it possible that you have the Windows NT version
of Diskkeeper?

All I know is that the diskeeper software is new.
No version is printed on the CD.

And what if it is. It does run when I can get into windows.
Does that matter ????
I need to be able to boot normally, see below.
Thak You

Try eliminating the startup scan that McAfee does. I did it by commenting
the appropriate lines in autoexec.bat.

Like this:

rem c:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\NETWOR~1\VIRUSS~1\40~1.XX\boo tscan.exe c:\
rem @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE
