what to do with this old dell

i have a old dell latitude that came with oem software..
can i sell this computer with the software at a garage
sale? It still has my registration information on it and
i can not figure out how to remove it.

You can sell the hardware and OEM software as a single package. In fact, if
you don't sell the OEM software with the machine, you cannot use it on
another machine. The easiest way to erase your information is to format the
drive. This will force the purchaser to re-install the operating system, so
make sure you supply a boot disk and the OEM product installation key with
the system.

Better yet, for people who don't know how to do that, Do it for them, but
just stop at the registration point. When they turn on their new computer,
they will be asked for their registration information. Perfect!
