- WinXPPro SP1 Explorer issues
- Posted by TheVolted@gmail.com on June 27th, 2006
So here's my deal. I'm building a computer that will have two
(technically three) functions. Here is my dream:
Windows XP loads up, there are two accounts listed: TV and Games. On
the TV account, I'd preffer if Explorer did not load up, and the only
program that would load is my TV tuner software, thus allowing me to
watch TV, and do other functions with the TV tuner card. On the games
account, I want to load a front end to load up all my games, neat and
space saving, because emulators will save me the trouble of me having
hundreds of SNES, Nintendo, Genesis, Atari 2600, etc., cartridges in
my living room (the third function: cleanliness =) ).
And with a new born, I'm trying to baby proof my house so that
accidents will not happen. The last thing I need is my Final Fantasy 3
(in box mint) to get destroyed. I'm not sure if blood is thicker than
cartridges in this case ;-)
So, is there a way for the two different accounts to go to different
programs on launch?
Thanks in advance!

This group is for Windows 95 - that's what the "win95" in the title means.
get a proper newsreader and you won't post in the wrong group.

it happens :>
logon as each account and put a shortcut to your required program into the
"startup" menu...
you mentions you don't want explorer to load ? internet explorer should not
by itself , you may want to clarify that in your thread in the XP group ..
