I have recently aquired a Dsl high speed hookup, installed
the software (Alltel, with Tango Manager software) and
Speedstream modem. The DSL connection seems to be working
ok, but if I leave my computer on and idle for any
extended period of time, when I come back to use it, it
will either work very erratically and slow, or completely
be locked down. If it is working slowly, I can restart
through the start up menu and it will work fine upon
restarting. If it is locked down I have to manually turn
it off and restart using the power on/off button on the
tower. The Tango manager program has an icon to click on
to activate the internet connection (or is this possibly
to activate the software and internet explorer, as no
access is allowed to the internet unless the networking
icon is present in the lower right hand corner of the
screen, where all the othe running programs are
displayed), and we always deactivate this when not
accessing the internet. After idle for awhile the computer
progressively gets slower, even the screensaver, until it
completely locks down. Any help would be appreciated.
