fatal exception errors
Posted by etyler on February 20th, 2004

I have been having big problems with vxd errors. I get the
BSOD with these messages:
1)0028:C000727D in vxd vmm (01) +0000627D (most common)
2)0028:C16C6561 in vxd wsock2 (01) +00002551
3}0028:C16C2EE1 in vxd wsock2 (01) +00002551

I have searched the net and got suggestions but to no
avail some of them were change video card (did it)
update video drivers (did it)
update bios (didit)
plus I've changed monitors
changed hdds
reformatted and reinstalled windows.
also funny thing is my soundrecorder doesn't install.
did all kinds of tests still nothing.

I had just upgraded my puter put in MSI mobo 6380E w/AMD
2000+ cpu
256 mg ddr memory 400mhz 2700
has 266 FSB
400w PSU
I would appreciate any help this has been goin on for a
while now.
Thx
Ed

hey;
Yes I am sure and you can find winsock2 in your
registry.hklm/system/current control set/control/winsock2
but on the blue screen it says wsock. I'm mainly
concerned with the vxd vmm error.
Thx
