French Characters with a standard keyboard
Posted by Stephen St. Denis on February 15th, 2004

Before I reinstalled Windows 98 SE2, I was able to get
French charters using a combination of ('"`^) and a
character. I set my keyboard to English Canadian, but it
doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to do this?

You can always go to START, PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES and Character Map and find
out the ALT code you need for this. I have a shortcut on my desktop for easy
access.

Add the French keyboard drivers.

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Keyboard.
Select the French keyboard or add it. You will need the Windows CD to add
any new drivers.

You can select also to have the Icon on your systray.
