How to delete Catroot
Posted by Bill in Verona, WI on October 1st, 2003

What is Catroot?
Is there something in the registry files that needs to be deleted?
I don't see anything in the add/remove files list that says Catroot.

Thanks for any help.

Don't.
Put catroot in the search box in Google or another search engine.

If you have access to a online search facility such as Google, Yahoo, Alta
Vista, etc, put the word catroot in the search box.
It is a Win98 file and I believe that it is necessary. Don't delete it until
you do some research on it yourself and make your own decision.
I have heard that sometimes it develops a 'large' temp file, but never for
me.
BTW, why do you want to delete it?
