My computer will not start win98 correctly. I get Dos
Mode or safe mode when I attempt to start. Any help is
appreciated. Similar to a previously posted question,i.e.:

W98 boots, shows the startup splash screen then
automatically switches to safe mode. When I boot
using 'F8', the proper screen displays, I select '1'
or 'Normal', the W98 start continues and then the splash
screen clicks off and the safe mode begins again, with no
error message displayed. Is there a file or setting that
needs to be re-set so as to not always go into 'safe'
mode??
