Upgrade from Win98 to Win98-SecondEdition?

Well, then, you have your answer. Upgrade or fool the installer. Since I don't
know what the installer looks for, I can only suggest that I *think*
"setver.exe" might do the trick. But I would want someone more familiar with the
use of Setver to comment. The KB isn't clear on the subject. Plus, of course,
the results are yours to risk.

Really, if you can't live without these programs, it's time to upgrade--either
to Win98SE or to an entirely new machine. Frankly, considering all the other
requirements, an average Win98 machine would be hard pressed to handle the
application in the first place, and upgrading to Win98SE isn't likely to improve
the situation much.
