Virus damaged some programs
Posted by Mr Duke on July 13th, 2003

I just found and eliminated a "Backdoor.Trojan" virus from
one of my computers. The other day I noticed that all of
my files were randomly listing. I would right cick
"Arrange Icons " "By Name" and the file would list in
alphabetical order again.
As soon as I closed the file it will revert to random
listing again.
I tried re-installing Windows again ....but that didn't do
any good.
Anyone know how to permenently repair this problem?

Thanks, Your info did the trick.
Is there any way to determine what other programs were
modified by that virus or at the same time this "Open" and
"Save As" was?
I'm still encountering other problems in Networking (I've
posted to that group) and Printing (I'm trying their
troubleshooting guides).
I don't know if there are any other undiscovered surprises
waiting for me ...thats why I'm asking.
