Antivirus is a *required* function in today's computing environment. I like EZ
Antivirus, from www.my-etrust-com. A free program is AVG, from www.grisoft.com.
Another concern is Adware/Spyware. There are various programs, but I'd start
with Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware
Please, also, see www.dts-l.org for information about using a real newsreader to
access these forums. You will find the experience much more satisfying, and much
less frustrating.
