After uninstalling an application which required a reboot,
I got a BSOD containing the message:
A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C02797A1 in VXD
ISO904) +00002031. The current application will be
terminated ... etc.

I tried reinstalling Win 98SE from the CD; all went well
untl the third reboot when the BSOD appeared again.

I've tried most of the suggestions in the KB188867 article
(Troubleshooting Windows 98 Startup problems) except
for "Troubleshooting Protected Mode Driver Problems, which
is my next and final step.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
