- Posted by ***** charles on March 14th, 2007
Hi all,
Is it possible to change a Key ID number after an install
of W98SE? I used the wrong number and I would like
to make my number machine my actual documentation.
thanks,

Open the registry editor (regedit.exe) to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
Look for the Product Key in the right pane, right click it and select
Modify. Enter the correct key and click OK
