- Keyboard problems
- Posted by Aidan Johnson on July 9th, 2003
I recently brought an old IBM thinkpad 365 laptop running
windows 98.
I wanted to use both an external mouse and keyboard.
I was told that I could buy a lead which split the PS2
connection on the laptop into two connections. Having
brought the lead and plugged it in, I find that the
external mouse works OK and that the external keyboard
wont work. When the keyboard is plugged directly into the
laptop it works OK, so I know that the keyboard works.
Is there a configuration change in windows that I need to
make in order to get it to recognise both the keyboard and
mouse?
Many thanks
Aidan

Contact IBM and see if this is a supported configuration. If you have a USB
port on this system, you might go for a USB mouse.
