i have just bought a laptop and want to transfer all files
off the old ibm(4 years old) and put them on the laptop. i
bought the flash disk and it wont work/come up as an
option like an extra hard drive icon or disk icon as it
does at uni. All would be good if laptops(NEC VERSA E400)
now days would have a floppy drive but they dont, the have
to have a flash disk that inserts into the usb.
QUESTIONS
1) CAN ANYONE GIVE ME STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO
INSTALL AND TRANSFER FILES ONTO THE FLASH DISK( i have the
cd that came with it).
2) I WAS TOLD I AM ABLE TO RESTART THE COMPUTER(the IBM)
ITS ORIGINAL SETTINGS OR AT LEAST SEND IT BACK TO A
SPECIFIC TIME WHEN I KNEW ALL THE PROGRAMS AND
APLLICATIONS WORKED. CAN SOME ONE GIVE ME STEP BY STEP
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THAT?

1. You need to contact the disk maker if you have followed the
instructions and it does not work properly.

2. You were told wrong--W98 does not have a roll back feature. You can
restore a copy of the registry but only five days worth are backed up.
