- problems with registry

Each time I boot up, windows informs me there is problems with the registry
and tells me it is going to fix it and restarts. next day does the same and
so on.
how on earth do I fix this for good? should I try to repair from the
add/remove section?

Add this line to your config.sys file
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:ON
If you recieve a memory error during POST (bootup) try swapping you
RAM for known good module(s)
Don't forget to delete it afterwards.

Have a look here. It may indicate some bad ram or hardware difficulties.
Back up your important files.
Registry Checker Continues to Detect Registry Damage
Windows registry is damaged. Windows will restart and try to fix the problem
Note that running the real-mode version of Registry Checker (Scanreg.exe) at
a command prompt does not detect registry damage.
