I have an old computer that is win.3.11 I cleared the drive from the
instrucions of a pc world magazine. I don/t have a Cd to format it for win.95
or 98. Does anyone know the format for either one of these? Can they be
formatted without a CD?

Yes - Get a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com

Get one for the operating system you intend to install.

Retail versions of W95 and W98 CDs will not format a drive. If you have a
W98 CD, you can make a floppy boot disk with the Fat32ebd.exe file located
on the W98 CD: tools/mtsutil/fat32ebd or you can download one here:
http://www.bootdisk.com/ For formatting and installation instructions:
