- Account addresses to quote addresses
- Posted by Steve on February 28th, 2006
Why don't the addresses in a quote default to the account address? For
instance, the account address is set as "ship to". It appears that for every
quote, we have to reenter all the shipping information that was already
designated for that account. ???? What am I missing?

Steve,
You need to alter the Entity Mapping between Account and Quote. Steps:
1) Select Settings, Customization, Customize Entities
2) Edit the Account Enity
3) Click Relationships
4) Locate the relationship between Account and Quote
5) Edit that relationship
6) Click Mappings
7) Click New
8) From the Account Attribute list on the left, select the Address Attribute
you wish to map to Quote
9) On the Quote Attribute list on the right, select the appropriate Ship To
Attribute that matches the Account Attribute.
10) Click OK
11) Repeat steps 7 - 10 for each part of the address that you need to Map.
12) Save your changes
13) Publish All Customizations.
14) Test it.
