Avaya Integration
Posted by JBC on July 21st, 2005

We have setup Avaya integration with CRM 1.2 but when the sreen pop is
supposed to run it asks for the CRM username and password everytime!

I am assuming this is because it pops a new IE windows everytime a call
comes in therefore requiring you to login. Is there a way round this?

Thanks

Does it ask for the username and password when you just try to open CRM in a
web browser as well? If so, then you could try shutting off the prompt for
username in IE.

I'm not sure if this will work, but you can give it a try:

In IE on one of the client machines
1) Goto Tools-->Internet Options
2) Go to the Security tab and choose the zone that would apply to the page
that is being popped up. e.x. If it is popping up a page of your CRM server
and your crm server is on your local intranet, you would click local intranet.
3) Click the custom level button
4) scroll down to the User Authentication -- Login section
5) Choose Automatic login only in intranet zone
(If you wanted to force it to prompt for a username or password, you would
select "Prompt for user name or password" instead)
6) Click OK out of both screen and close the browser window.

Now test the AVAYA popup functionality.

Warning: this may affect the login on other web-based systems, so make sure
you understand what other requirements there may be.

I have checked this and the setting is already set. When I open CRM through
the web it does ask me for a username and password

You could try replacing the Avaya integration with Qubic CTi for CRM.

1. When you login CRM, when you input username/password, then make sure the
[remember password] option is selected.
2. Close all your IE on your desktop, then open a IE.
3. Go to [tools]->[internet options]->[security]->[Internet Custom
Level...], on the bottom of this window, take a look at[User
Authentication]->[Login], please select the third option which is"Automatic
logon with current username and password."
4. OK, then close IE.
5. Now, you may have to input once username / password, but please make sure
the [remember password] option is selected.

This should work.

Cheers,
Jim

Thanks for all the help and replys. I had to do what CEO said but then I had
to actually add the crm site into the local intranet site list in IE. Thanks
once again.
