- Cannot see Settings Section
- Posted by Will on March 7th, 2007
Hi Guys,
I have a few problems with the GUI. I have a user who is set up as an Admin.
However when I log in as this user the admin section doesn't appear in the
Nav Bar. Also this user cannot access the service calender, it doesn't appear
in the Nav bar and if i use Go To -> Service -> Service Calander nothing
happens. If I log in as the administrator account f(irstname lastname) all of
these can be accessed.
Has anybody had similar problems or a solution
Thanks in advance

Found the solution if anyone else has the same problem. I had the outlook
client installed so I need to shut down outlook and open the web browser to
view the settings area and schedule calender

The problem exists because both Outlook and your web browser use the
same cookie (and Outlook does not have the settings feature).
If you make 1 alias for your CRM server to use in outlook and use the
original URL in your web browser (or the other way around of course),
the problem should be solved.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I read that solution in the news groups I'm going to
go with the IP address for outlook. SO I'll just need the network admin to
set up a fixed Ip for the server
