Can't Go Offline With CRM 4.0
Posted by Rick on April 30th, 2008

I just upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0.

I am running Outlook 2007 on a Win XP laptop.

I finally was able to get the CRM Client installation but now if I try to go
Offline I get the following error:

The requested Performance Counter is not a custom counter, it has to be
initialized as read only

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi Rick,

Our office just completed the upgrade as well. I attempted to go offline
last night and received this error message.
"An error occurred loading Microsoft Dynamics CRM functionality.
Try restarting Microsoft Outlook.
Contact your system administrator if erros persist."

Using Vista Business with Office 2007. To correct this issue I had to do a
repair of the Outlook Client run then Configuration wizard again. Then I was
able to see the CRM toolbar in Outlook. Knowledge base didn't have any
refernces at this time to cocrrecting this issue.

Hi Kevin,

I tried to do a repair of the Client and then used the configuration wizard
again but that did not help.

I treid to completely uninstall the Client and reinstall and that did not
fix it.

I also tried running the command lodctr /r on both the server and the laptop
and that did not fix the problem.

I am running out of ideas and there is very little information on this topic
that I can find by running a Google search.

Thanks.

Hi Rick

I got the same error message on the server. It helped add the user to
the system monitoring group.
