- CRM 3.0 e-mail not being distributed
- Posted by David Connect on December 29th, 2005
We have installed CRM 3.0 and I have created a campaign and the associated
activities, marketing lists, etc.. Once I distributed the e-mail campaign,
the e-mails showed up under the "E-mail Messages Created" details under the
Campaign Activity. The e-mails have "CRM:000200.." concatenated to the
subject line and have a status of sent but they have not been received. I
sent the test e-mails to my company e-mail account.
The CRM-Exchange E-Mail Router Service is started and we could not find any
errors that were logged.
Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

Pls check the marketing List members are marked in their records for Email as
"Do Not Contact". If So, they will be comes under Failure List. More over,
distributing the campaign email activity will not send the email to each
member. It will create the Email List. The user has to choose the email and
click Send.

When you installed CRM, did you have it ue the default SMTP settings? If
so, then verify that the SMTP service on the CRM server is workign and
routing properly. Otherwise, you can run a "Repair" installation on the
server and choose new SMTP settings (and have it point to yout Exchange
server).
