CRM 3.0: Outlook Contact Synch Problem

When our users synch their CRM contacts with Outlook, it transfers all of
their birthdays to their calendar. Since they have so many, this is a
problem, especially for PDA users. Any way to turn just this feature off
without shutting off the entire contact synch?
