- CRM 3.0 Reports Not Working in Outlook Client
- Posted by sank.hate.spam@gmail.com on September 13th, 2006
Recently we had to republish all the reports on the SQL server (2005)
in order for them to show up in the web client. They now do and can be
run. However, none of our laptop clients are able to run a report.
When a user clicks on the report link, they get the following error:
Server error '/' application
The request failed with HTTP status 401: unauthorized.
These same users can run the reports through the web client. I'm at a
complete loss and appreciate any and all help.
Thanks,
Jason
Little more background:
CRM 3.0 and SQL Server 2005 are on different servers
OS: Windows Server 2003
The install of CRM 3.0 was an upgrade from 1.2

assume that web users are running the reports from microsoft crm and not
hitting the reporting site directly. This may be a kerberos error. Check out
the workstation event logs and see if they are getting any kerberos errors.
I would not expect there to be any as a web client can access reports but
its worth checking
