CRM doesn't install correctly...
Posted by andyo on November 4th, 2004

I have been trying to install the Microsoft CRM 1.2 and after about 4
different times I'm almost ready to give up.
Every time it installs, there is no way to access the workflow monitor or
manager. It will give me the message "The server is not responding. This
might happen if it is currently unavailable..."
When I open the crystal enterprise there is a service in red - the WinHTTP
proxy auto-discovery. I'm not sure if that is what is causing all of the
problems, but that service has never started in every install. If I try to
start it through the services snap-in it will say "The account specified for
the service is different from the account specified for other services
running in the same process". However, they're all starting and running under
the same account.
How can I get all the services to start and access to the workflow
monitor/manger? I.E.- how can I get the Microsoft CRM to work like it's
supposed to?
