- Data Migration
- Posted by sailaja.crm@gmail.com on February 15th, 2008
Hi,
I have to migrate data from MSCRM 3.0 to MSCRm 4.0. To achieve this
can I use Data Migration Manager of MSCRM 4.0? or is there any process
to achieve this?
regards,
Sailaja.

I believe your only option is to perform an in-place upgrade from 3 to 4.

What kind of data do you need to migrate, what are you requirement for
migrating the data from CRM 3.0 to 4.0? If you don't want to do an
upgrade and need to keep all of data in CRM 3.0 system. e.g. created
by, modified on, etc... You might need to look into using Scribe. They
do have the CRM 4.0 available now.

Hi Sailaja, Dave and Imran.
Thanks for posting in. This is Ken in Online Partner Support.
As Dave and Imran mentioned, you need in-place upgrade from CRM 3.0 to CRM
4.0.
You are able to download the implementation guide from here:
