- Deploying CRM Client via Altiris
- Posted by Nick Lewis on September 1st, 2005
I am trying to deploy the CRM Client via Altiris Deployment Centre from a
Domain Service Account. The Domain Service Account has a license in CRM and
has admin privaleges. When I try and deploy the client the installation
fails with:
failed to logon to MAPI. 0x80040111
I need to deploy the client to a large number of machines. If a Mapi
profile of the Domain Service account is pre-created the installation works
fine. Please help?

We are currently evaluating version 1.2. Does the next Version of CRM
support deployments like this?

The v3.0 CRM for Outlook client will support installation via GPO, but not SMS.
