- Email not working after installing Outlook mail client

Hi
I am having trouble sending any emails from CRM 3.0 after having
installed the Outlook client on my dektop. Previous to installing the
Outlook client emails were sending fine.
Now I cannot send emails from either within CRM (Error message: "An
error has occurred. For more info contact your administrator") or from
Outlook.
The mail router has been installed on the server.
Anyone had a similar issue or know what the problem might be?
