- Error when trying to send email
- Posted by bondg on September 15th, 2005
When trying to send CRM email (from Outlook or from CRM itself), we get the
error, "An error has occurred. For more information, contact your system
administrator."
However, that sysadmin is me and I don't see what's causing the error.
Anyone care to offer a little guidance?

I should have mentioned, I'm not getting any CRM errors in Event Viewer on
my local machine nor on the CRM server.

Our server manager was able to use Event Sentry to capture an error on our
CRM server that is very similar to that of bsmallwo. I'm posting in the hope
that the slightly different information may hold some clue as to why our
email is blowing up on us.

The strange thing is our error hasn't happened since. We have sent the
same mail to the same address on a different day and its gone through
no worries. Its a very strange error.
Any one got any ideas??
Cheers

Can anyone tell me what "/MSCRMServices/CrmEmail.srf" is or does? It
appears line after line after line in my CRM server's ISS log file. The
initiator of this process(?) is MSCRM itself.
Is it polling for email to be sent or received? Is it an error handler
perhaps?

Tempted fate with that comment yesterday!!!
The same user has just had the same error pop up. Different attachment
and a different recipient.
Would really love to know if anyone knows why these errors are
occurring and why there so spasmodic...?? We sent an e-mail to the
same e-mail address minus the attachment and it went fine, we then sent
the attachment to another recipient and that went...

Thanks in advance
