I have taken the MSCRM and METABASE databases off of a production CRM 3.0
Professional Server running Server 2003 and SQL 2005. Did a backup of these
dbs and restored them into a Dev server also running Server 2003 / SQL 2005.
Installed and ran the CRM Redeployment Tool on the restored dbs on my Dev
server, it ran fine, it mapped/converted the restored db's to AD on my DEV
server. When I attempt to install CRM now and select the Use Exisitng
Databases option, I get the "Existing Databases are not Compatible" message
and I cannot install CRM on my DEV server. Both environments are exactly the
same except for different AD domains but the Redeploy Tool runs fine, says
db's have been successfully converted. Both servers are identical, SQL 2005
is the same, both without SQL2005 SP1. Any suggestions or help? I need to get
this DEV server up using these db's.
Dev box is a clean install of W2K3 and SQL 2005 also. Thanks in advance for
any advice or suggestions.
