- Help install CRM 1.2 on SBS 2003 sp1 with ISA Server 2004
- Posted by DonnaDea on August 8th, 2005
Does anyone have a link to instructions for installing CRM 1.2 on Windows
Small Business Server 2003 sp 1 when ISA Server 2004 is also installed.
I have SBS 2003 sp1 and ISA Server 2004 installed on one machine. We are
able to access our server remotely and can access companyweb internally using
http://companyweb and externally using
https://mycompany.publicwebsite.com:444.
I have installed CRM 1.2 on the SBS 2003 (with ISA 2004) carefully following
the instructions from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en.
The installation finishes with no errors but when I try to access
http://crmweb I get an error 403 Forbidden. I also get this error when I
follow the instructions "Changing the Crystal Enterprise Administrator
Password".

USING THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS FROM A MICROSOFT TECH, I WAS ABLE TO ACCESS
CRM 1.2:
There are a couple things that you can check to make sure that the CRM IIS
site is configured properly. First using IIS Manager right-click on the CRM
site and select Properties. Click the Home Directory tab. Makes sure the
setting Execute Permissions is set to 'Scripts Only' and that the check box
for Read permissions is checked. Click OK. Now click the Directory Security
tab and then the Edit button for Authentication and Access control. The only
checkbox that should be selected is 'Integrated Windows Authentication'. Once
complete click OK and then OK again. Next expand the CRM site and find the
MSCRMServices folder, right-click on it and select Properties. Within the
Properties click the Virtual Directory tab. Make sure that the setting
Execute Permissions is set to 'Scripts and Executables' the checkbox for Read
permissions is selected. Now click the Directory Security tab and then the
Edit button for Authentication and Access control. The only checkbox that
should be selected is 'Integrated Windows Authentication'. Once complete
click OK and then OK again. Finally click Start, click Run, type IISRESET and
click OK. Now try accessing the CRM site.
