Hide Reports in MSCRM 3.0
Posted by AB on April 24th, 2006

We are currently not using the Service Module and might use it 6-9 months
down the road.

How do I hide the Case Summary Table out-of-the-box report in MSCRM? Again,
I have to make this report available in MSCRM later.

Thanks,

AB

You can restrict permissions to Cases by going to Settings -> Business Unit
Settings -> Security Roles and selecting each role listed, click on the
Service tab, and be sure all the options for Case are cleared. With out
permissions, users won't be able to view the data.

You can download the report (option in the report menu), save the *.rdl file
and then delete the report. When you need it, you can simply upload the
report file.
You can do all this from the web interface.

You can hide reports in MSCRM 3.0. Go to "Workplace"->Reports->More
Actions->Edit Reports.

Clear the "display in" by select nothing in the multi-select picklist control.

Your report will be hidden. If you need it later on, you can show them by
select "category"->"Hidden Reports"->More actions ...
