How can I change the SMTP Server after the installation? I follow the

Does anybody can help me?

Hello,

Some time ago I solved this by just reinstalling the CRM server software
using an existing database. Be carefull when you enter the SMTP settings. Do
not use default settings because this assumes you are running SMTP on your
local system.

Another problem could be the Exchange server not allowing the CRM server to
send mail via SMTP. Correct this in the Exchange System Manager tool by
granting the CRM server permissions to relay e-mail to the SMTP server.

Hope this helps,

Do I have to encript password on the register? Or can I use it in clear text?

Hello,

I did not type a username/password when I was installing. Mainly because the
CRM server and the Exchange server were in the same (internal) network,
behind a firewall.

Find here the settings I used when installing CRM at one of my customers.

Incoming Microsoft Exchange server: NL-EX-01
Outgoing SMTP server: NL-EX-01
Outgoing SMTP server port: 25
Outgoing SMTP authentication method: Anonymous
Use SSL for the outgoing connection: No

When the CRM and Exchange server connect on an unsafe network, I guess some
extra configuration will be needed on the Exchange server so the Exchange
server will accept SSL connections over SMTP.

Best regards,

On Your IIS/CRM server check the settings of the Default Virtual SMTP Server.
You may find that your web/CRM is configured to direct to Internet
addresses. If required change it to forward to smarthost do not send direct
to internet. The in System Manager for Exchange ensure the IIS/CRM server
can relay.

If you send direct to internet from the IIS/CRM Server you may bypass your
companies outbound email virus scanning software and also miss any email
footers applied like email disclaimers.

I have altered all the keys on this adress but "The Server Was Unable to
Process Request". Without them, the email goes out, with the default Windows
SMTP Server, but I want to use our company SMTP.

Any sugestions?
