- How do you block sales people from viewing other sales peoples activities?

When I give user level read permision to Accounts,
Contacts, etc., other users cannot print reports on other
user contacts and accounts, but they can still read them.
I don't want them to be able to read each others accounts
and contacts. They can do this using Advanced Find or the
View lists. I can prevent them from accessing all
accounts and contacts on the view lists by sharing them
only with an admin team, but this does not work for
Activities because System Customization does not include
Activities in the list. I don't know how to keep them
from reading each others records using Advanced Find. If
I understand it, if a user has User level read security
permisions for a record, they should only be able to read
their own records. This does not appear to be the case.

When you modifed the access rights, which level of "read" did you grant? If
you grant the "User" level of read, it should accomplish what you want.

I did grant them "User" level read. "User" level works
for Write, Delete, and Share, and with "User" read, the
records don't show up in the reports, but when another
user uses Advanced Find, they show up in the search
results. This also happens with the drop down view lists
if they select active, inactive, or all activities in the
drop down.
Thanks
