- How to remove cascading of relationships
- Posted by Fritz Theiss on May 28th, 2008
Hi,
we have developed an application using SDK that import several thousands of
entities and activities - using a separate database - into CRM 3.0. After
several minutes the application fails on any activity. This is followed by
more related errors.
During our analysis, we might have identifed the root cause, which seems to
be: The cascading levels of the relationships
Somewhere in Internet I read about "remove the cascading as much as possible
during import". However it was not stated how this can be done in detail.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Fritz

when you open the entity through the customization then on the left
pane there are different relationship like 1:N Relationships. If you
open it then you can see different relationships . If the behaviour is
not"System" then you can change the cascading from all to "None" or
so. But you have to consider the affect of it.
is that what you looking for?

Fritz, what are the errors you are getting? The reason I ask is because the
response you got from aamir is the only way I know of to do this. As such, I
am guessing that there may be more to this than relationships.
