- Import dialog box hangs when import complete

I am importing leads to MS CRM from a file. They appear to import fine
except that the import progress dialog box hangs forever after the
import is complete (i.e. I can see all of the leads imported in CRM).
The progress bar is at 100% and the only option available to me is a
cancel button. when i click
cancel it asks to revert imported records. If I close CRM, everything
closes and the files do not revert. How can I make this go away?
