Import only in Contacts
Posted by Rancetti Marco on March 8th, 2005

Hi NG

Is it true that an import of my Outlook/Public Folder Contacts is only
possible into Contacts and not into Accounts. Or is that possible with an
third parity tool?
I couldn't found anything...

Thx for your help
Marco

Your options for importing accounts are:

1. Use the CRM import tool to import them as leads, then convert them to
accounts. Very slow as you have to convert one at a time
2. Use the DMF. Free but difficult
3. Use Scribe Insight for Microsoft CRM. The best , and well priced
4. Develop your own tool using SDK. (I don't think so...)

Depends how may accounts you have and if you want to carry out the operation
time and time again

First, I'm brand new to CRM and these boards. I've done the searches and am
I correct that there is not a way to convert Outlook contacts one at a time?
Seems thereshould be some synergies between the two programs.

I'm still in the the population phase of implementation.

Thanks!
