hi all,
I have been getting a error when ever a user OTHER than a domain
administrator tries to view the reports section of the CRM which reads as:
"Information is needed before this report can be processed"
I added the account to the domain admins group but no luck....still only the
domain administrator is able to view the reports.
I want my other users to view the reports.
My domain structure is a purly windows 2003 domain, with AD, Exchange , SQL
and CRM all on diffrent servers. All is working fine except the reports. i
have tried chnging the logon account for the crystal reports services to
<domain>\administrator but it didnt help
someone please help me with this problem....thanx

Unfortunately, this very generic error can be caused by any number of items. We
just fixed this one at my current client and there was a rather long list of
items support asked us to verify on the path.
One thing I do know that can resolve it is to change the CRM Security, Crystal
APS & Crystal Pageserver services to run under a domain user account instead of
local system.

Hi Matt,
Thanx a lot for the response...i really appreciate it.
I tried changing the log on user to <domain>\administrator for the services.
I also restarted the services and IIS but still i am getting the same error.

hotfix below (source: FAQ reports 1.2)
Succes!
After upgrading, only the domain Administrator can access
reports. All other users see the message "Information is
needed before this report can be processed."
This problem will occur if your Active Directory domain
controller is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and
your Microsoft CRM server is running Microsoft Windows
Server 2003.
There are two solutions:
.. Update your Active Directory domain controller to
Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
.. Apply Microsoft Windows Server 2003 hotfix 834859 to
your Microsoft CRM server. To obtain this hotfix, you
need to log a support incident on the Microsoft Business
Solutions website (mbs.microsoft.com). On the website,
click PartnerSource or CustomerSource, log in, click
Support, and then click Submit a new support request.
