Installation of CRM 1.2
Posted by David Sanders on January 28th, 2004

Hi All,

I'm trying to install the CRM server software on a Windows Server 2003 based
machine. The setup.exe give me the following error:

---------------------------
Microsoft CRM Server Setup
---------------------------
You must be a member of the Domain Admins group to install Microsoft CRM.
Make sure that this computer is joined to the domain and you are logged on
with a domain administrator account.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

What do I need to do to get this installation running? I am on our
companies domain and am logged in as a domain administrator.

Thx,
David.

Hi David:

Is the account you're using the Administrator account created at WS install,
or is it an account that you created and granted Domain Admin privileges?

If the former, has anyone messed with the groups and security rights of the
Administrator?

If the latter, does the account you created belong to all the same groups as
the Administrator?

John.

Hi,

Do any of you know why/what it needs "Domain Admins"
rights for?
