Hi,

We are trying to install the Microsoft CRM 4.0 Server and are encountering
some problems. First, I’ll give some background about the install.

We are installing on a VM with the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2. This
machine has SQL Server 2005 SP1 installed on in as well as .NET framework
2.0. The error we are getting is as follows:

We’ve downloaded the trial version of Microsoft CRM 4.0. Once we enter the
key, the installer checks for any updates. Later, it says that it needs
Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime to be installed. This installation also
completes but at this point, the installer simply disappears. If I try to
restart the installation again, it installs Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime
again even though the installation was complete the first time and then the
installer disappears.



At this point, we have no clue as to how to proceed further. Any help,
pointers, tips will be appreciated.

PS" SQL server should be with SP2 ? AND ....reinstallation of
Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime is not error. As well as i see it
happens all the time when you reinstall Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime .
