Integration with Outlook questions
Posted by SiEBEN Innovative Solutions on December 8th, 2003

Hi there!
In a company where some employees use CRM and the rest only Outlook and
Exchange Server, is there any cooperation problem between them? For example
if someone who doesn't have CRM defines a meeting appointment or sends a
task request, will this be visible by someone who has CRM (and vice versa)?
In general, the CRM integration with Outlook works equally fine with all
versions of Exchange (5.5 or later) or Outlook (2000 or XP or 2003)??

Thanks for your help.

The non-CRM tasks & Acitivities will still be visible in Outlook, but they
won't be visible within CRM itself.

I am pretty certain the min req is Echange 2000, not 5.5. As for the
Outlook functionality, there is a small issue with Outlook 2000 and Mail
Merge. You can do the merge, but Outlook 2000 won't add the activity to the
object, where XP (and I assume 2003) will.
