Is there a way to link an existing Opportunity to an existing Lead. The
lookup option for the Originating Lead is grayed out. The lookup is
available when you first create the opportunity but after you save the
opportunity once, it disables this option.

Business Case is the sales team often create Opportunities from scratch, but
the Marketing department wants to go back and link these opportunities to
existing leads for lead analysis.

Anybody run into this?

Hi Dan, the 'source lead' button greying out is by design. The expectation
there is to convert the lead to opportunity. When a lead is converted to an
opportunity, it automatically gets tracked as a source lead for the
opportunity.
