- List web part not working for Sharepoint "Invalid CRM Server" mess
- Posted by RickNavarro on March 23rd, 2006
Having a problem setting up the "Trust for Delagation" for our Sharepoint
server and CRM server to communicate (at least I think this is the problem).
I am running Windows Server 2003 on both. I've set the " Trust computer for
Delagation" on our Sharepoint server and for the users account. I've also set
the "Enable Integrated Windows Authenticatoin" on the clients internet
explorer and i am still getting the "invalid CRM server" message when trying
to connect the webpart on sharepoint. Am I missing something stupid? Please
help!

I also am having this problem. I followed the steps to set Sharepoint to use
Kerberos authentication using the adsutil.vbs set
w3svc/xx/NTAuthenticationProviders "Negotiate,NTLM" Once I did that, I can no
longer log on to sharepoint from any client workstation. I checked to ensure
that IE was set to "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication." I am getting a
log on prompt when I navigate to the sharepoint url. My credentials are
rejected each time. I am able to access the sharepoint web site when I am
logged on to the sharepoint server. This server is trusted to delegate to any
service in the domain. I am not using host headers. I am able to access the
WSUS site on this same server.

I realized that of course I could get to WSUS still because I only set the
authentication for sharepoint.
Anyway, I'm sure this is an authentication
problem between the two servers because the web part works when crm and
sharepoint are on the same box. I'll be doing some testing over the weekend,
so if anyone can provide some help that would save me time, I'd appreciate
it. Otherwise, I'll post any findings.
