- Locked myself out off CRM
- Posted by Yung on February 6th, 2004
Hi all,
I have remissly modified the System Administrator role of
the CRM system when I set up the business units and users,
and I could never logon it with an error message
as "Service not running.
The Microsoft CRM server or security service has been
disabled or has not yet started. For more information,
contact your system administrator."
Is there any way to solve it?Or I have to re-install the
whole system?
Truly appreciate for any help!!!
Thanks in advance,
Yung

All the training material and documentation I've read does contain dire
threats about not being able to recreate the System Administrator role if
you accidentally incapacitate it. So you may well be looking at a reinstall.
I suppose a wise move to avoid this kind of situation would be to always
copy the System Administrator role and tamper with the copy instead of the
original.

Look at the systemuserbase table for that account.
Note that this is a bad scenario - what exactly did you do to the account?
