Major Fudging Needed - Any Ideas
Posted by Bill Gates on July 5th, 2005

Hello All,

I have a customer that has done a very silly thing and I have to try to fix
it now.

Basically, they wanted to do a redeployment, but when I looked at their
system their parent company had uninstalled the CRM and removed all of the
CRM users from the AD, Grrrr!

I have re-installed CRM and it looks like it would run but for some reason
the CRMAdmin user that was used to install the product both times doesn't
appear to be registered correctly with the re-installation. the Deployment
Manager to will not load. Possible reason the logged in user is not an Admin
user within CRM.

I have given up getting the CRM re-installation to work, my new goal is as
follows...

Clean install CRM in new environment
Migrate as much data as possible using Data Migration Tool
Import the changes made to the old CRM System to the New one.

However, as I am unable to get the Deployment Manager tool running I am
unable to extract the old changes from the database.

!!!THE QUESTION!!!

Does anyone know how to manually register a Admin User with CRM so that the
Deployment Tool will load and I can then extract the Changes?

Alternatively, Does anyone know how to manually extract the changes from a
CRM system without the Deployment Manager?

Thanks for any help you can provide....

Try this link,

I think you have to contact MBS support to get this tool, but I don't
think they will charge you for it.
