- maximum of business units
- Posted by Martine on December 6th, 2005
hi, does someone know the answers on my questions?
- How many holdings/business units can be created in CRM 1.2? and in CRM 3.0?
- Is it possible to work with the exchange rate? for example: some of the
users of CRM are using the english pond, leading is the euro, but they share
the same CRM application.
Thanks!
Gr. Martine

Martine,
There is only one top entity allowed (one parent and after the parent
as many children as you want) Business units cannot be deleted only
disabled and children can only have one parent.
Watch out disabling a business unit with members in it will
automatically disable user records...
CRM is not a multiple currency product. Usually most customers
understand that if you use more currencies your reporting will be
effected.

you need to define multi currency..for instance you may define a country
field for each opportunity so you can determine the currency used for that
opportunity. You could then create reports which perform conversions to a
common currency such as dollars. In addition when someone creates an
opportunity in say french francs, there is nothing to stop you writing a
callout to go to a currency conversion website and store a currency
conversion rate
Lots of options in crm v3
