- Microsoft Exchange 2003 Setup Help
- Posted by Leonard W. Peacock on September 18th, 2006
I need help settup up and/or configuring our offices email server.
It used to work until the network went down and when they got it back up, we
could only send out email; not receive. Then I did something to the thing
and now we can't send or receive.
Is there anything that can walk a person through setup, step-by-step or is
there anyone willing to help me set this thing back up; please!?
The Windows Help feature really isn't all that helpful.
Any help you could possibly give would be appreciated!
Thank you!

If you have a backup of the databses, you can run a restore or a restore with
the disaster recovery switch. Read through the event logs and research the
errors on technet. Are all the Exchange, IIS and SMTP services started? You
may want to open an case with the MS Exchange group.

Well, since I wasn't the original IT person, only someone who knows more
about computers than anyone else in my office, I was thrown into this task.
And I don't mind doing it; it's only a learning experiance for me, I just
don't know how to do what you just told me to do.
